Harvest Hands parents are invited to join Dr. Jim Wellborn, author of Raising Teens in the 21st Century, as he leads a monthly conversation about parenting children and adolescents. Each gathering will present parenting information about an important topic followed by a time for questions and discussion. Parenting topics will be determined by the interests of participating parents. They might include effective discipline, family communication, emotional development, cooperation, promoting healthy decision-making, patience, responsibility, academic motivation and self-control.
Our first community conversation will review the foundations of parenting that identify the goals of parenting and basic parenting elements.
This month we will be conducting a virtual conversation as we continue to follow CDC guidelines for minimizing the risk of contracting COVID-19.
