Adolescence is a time when kids make big leaps in social, emotional, cognitive and moral development (as well as risky behavior). This can leave parents scrambling just to keep up, let alone providing the necessary guidance and direction. Dr. Jim Wellborn will be talking to the parents of 9th graders at the University School of Nashville about how to get ahead of their kids by reviewing important aspects of adolescent development and behavior. He will also be providing a framework for parents that encourages both independence and responsibility while they shepherd their kids through the teenage years.
